Hawthorne Christian Academy broke ground for its new Turf Field Project at its annual Homecoming Event in September. At the ceremony, the school expressed thanks to a generous, anonymous donor who made the project possible.
Homecoming featured athletic events, carnival-style games, fundraising, and even a dunk tank. Paul Egedy, president of the Academy Committee, Tyler Van Dyk, HCA’s athletic director, and David Seidman, Head of School, officially commenced the digging process of the athletic field. The installment of HCA’s Multi-Sport Turf Field is scheduled began during the fall sports season and is expected to be complete by this winter.
