Hawthorne Gospel Church Hosts Top of the Hill Day Camp

This summer, Hawthorne Gospel Church will again host its popular Top of the Hill Day Camp, a ministry to children grades 1 through 6.

Top of the Hill, which runs July 2 through August 10, will have a different theme each week: July 2-6, Winter Camp (no camp July 4th); July 9-13, Olympic Camp; July 16-20, Splash into Atlantis Camp; July 23-27, Superheroes Camp; July 30-August 3, Carnival Camp, and August 6-10, Space Camp.

During the camp day, the campers will travel with age-leveled groups from activity to activity. These activities include arts and crafts, swimming lessons, game time on a turf field and inside an air-conditioned gym, game room time, counselor time, camp meeting, open swim, and so much more!  Daily devotions will focus on the summer’s theme: the Fruit of the Spirit.

The camp staff consists of committed Christian counselors, certified lifeguards providing swimming lessons each morning, a registered nurse on campus every day, and Camp Director Alex Bober, a certified physical education teacher. Alex and his wife Sandy direct children’s ministries at Hawthorne Gospel Church.
