The North Jersey Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will host a benefit concert with “This Hope,” a Christian a cappella group. The concert will be held at The Crossing Church in Livingston, NJ on September 20. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is free. An offering will be taken to benefit CEF.
This Hope is comprised of six men who grew up in the small town of Soldotna, Alaska. Over the last 23 years, the group has presented over 4,000 concerts and recorded 15 albums, with another project set to release later this fall. In March, their video of the song, “O Praise The Name,” won Best Music Video at the Christian Worldview Film Festival. People of all ages enjoy This Hope’s distinctive a cappella sound and heart to encourage believers.
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered organization, whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. With workers in countries around the world, CEF had personal, individual ministry with more than 25.4 million children last year. CEF has many different ministries for children, but the primary ones are Good News Club (a weekly after-school program) and the 5-Day Club (typically held in the summer). The upcoming concert is being sponsored by the North Jersey Chapter, which serves Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties.
“We’ve been involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship for almost 17 years,” said This Hope member Mikah Boudreaux. “As children, we were exposed to the ministry through the Good News Clubs, which were available in our local community. We love this ministry.”
