Jasmine Danae Sorenson, 24, of Fredon Township, NJ, will compete for the title of Miss New Jersey USA on November 22–24 at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.
Sorenson, an alumna of Veritas Christian Academy in Sparta, New Jersey, is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education at Liberty University. She earned an undergrad degree in Organizational Management two years ago at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY.
Currently, Sorenson is a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher at a special needs school and also a model/actress signed with BMG Models & Talent in New York City. She has volunteered as a buddy at the Tim Tebow Foundation’s “Night to Shine” special needs prom at Liquid Church for several years.

While in college, Sorenson was an on-air host for the campus radio station WACW and also served as the Spiritual Life Advisor for her dorm hallway. In high school at Veritas, she served as the co-captain of the women’s volleyball team, played soccer and softball, was a member of the events committee of the student council, and participated in the school musicals and choir. Sorenson, the daughter of Scott and Denise Sorenson, has also competed in horse shows and was a member of the 4-H club “Pony Tails.”
The Miss New Jersey USA® and Miss New Jersey Teen USA® pageants are the Official Preliminaries to the Miss USA®, Miss Teen USA®, and Miss Universe® pageants. The contestant chosen as Miss New Jersey USA 2020 will go on to represent the state in the 2020 MISS USA® pageant.
