Kanye West and Justin Bieber—acclaimed musicians who have recently gained notoriety for their commitments to Christ—are coming to the New York City-metro area in 2020.
West is teaming up with megachurch pastor Joel Osteen for an appearance at Yankee Stadium May 2. The event is part of Osteen’s “America’s Night of Hope,” which will go to several cities across the country. Tickets have not yet gone on sale.
West’s latest spiritually-based project, “Jesus Is Born,” was released on Christmas Day. It features West’s Sunday Service Choir. His first project, “Jesus Is King,” topped Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums list for nine consecutive weeks now. West, the husband of Kim Kardashian, started his Sunday Service events in 2019, which feature a gospel choir that sings pop and mainstream songs, but with Christian lyrics.

Bieber recently announced on Instagram he would perform at MetLife Stadium during his fourth concert tour this year.
Bieber’s MetLife Stadium concert is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
“As humans, we are imperfect. My past, my mistakes, all the things that I’ve been through, I believe that I’m right where I am supposed to be, and God has me right where he wants me,” Bieber said in a YouTube video teasing the tour and an upcoming docu-series. “I feel like this is different than the previously albums because of where I’m at in my life. I’m excited to perform it and to tour it. We all have different stories. I’m just excited to share mine.”

Bieber re-committed his life to Jesus Christ last year after working with celebrity pastor and Montclair resident Carl Lentz, the lead pastor of Hillsong NYC.
According to several reports, Bieber has worked with Lentz to re-establish his faith in Christ. The recommitment comes as Bieber was reported as being emotional and struggling with the idea of fame, according to People.com. Lentz has provided Bieber with spiritual help throughout his adult life.
