Giselle Llerena Rejoins Pillar College as the VP of Recruitment and Retention

Rev. Giselle Llerena has rejoined Pillar College as the Vice President of Recruitment and Retention.

Llerena has a long history with the college, holding positions as the Director of Admissions as well an adjunct professor. She is passionate about teaching and preaching the gospel with more than 20 years of leadership experience and a solid background in delivering decisive, action-driven administrative leadership. Llerena has led several sales teams to achieve and exceed goals.

“Giselle comes to the organization with a wealth of knowledge in Christian Ministry and business,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Rupert A. Hayles, Jr. “The combination of those two functions will help Pillar College advance by focusing on operationalizing retention and recruitment efforts to grow the College while addressing the needs of incoming and current students. She has done an exceptional job look with a macro view of her functional area and linking it to other parts of the organization resulting in organizational efficiency improvements.”

In November of 2015, Llerena was appointed by the US Mission Executive Committee as a US Missionary Associate for the Assemblies of God and alongside her husband Victor, they are church planters and Lead Pastors of Journey Community Church in Bayonne, NJ. She has obtained a BA in Theology and MS in Organizational Leadership from Nyack College and a M.Div. from Liberty University.
