Most sports camps do their best to develop kids into the best athlete possible. It is rare to find a camp where athletic development is not only a goal, but a tool used to propel at-risk youth into strong relationships with God. Inspire Sports Camps, located in New Jersey, has one mission, “To create unforgettable experiences for underserved youth that lead to life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ.”
This mission would not be possible without counselors who provide campers genuine care and companionship to lead them to Christ. Inspire Sports Camps (@inspiresportscamps) recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a series of posts on Instagram from some of those counselors: Bivi Baby says she “loves to see how every single campers life is changed whether it’s their first summer there or their fifth summer there.” Justice Remar said that he would “tell someone coming to camp that you are going to get an experience you will never forget.”
Inspire also quoted a couple campers on their time during the summer. These quotes include: “Today, I became open to Jesus and felt loved and safe,” “The buses came and my life was changed,” and “My life was impacted by looking at the creation of Jesus on the hike today.”
Inspire Sports Camps provides children with life-changing experiences and has a substantial resume to prove so. This camp is an example of how their founder, Kurt Schwarz, is truly doing the work of God. For more information about Inspire Sports Camps, visit https://inspiresportscamps.com/.
