Forgiveness, breaking free of others’ expectations, and experiencing freedom in the love of Jesus will be discussed at the annual retreat sponsored by Her Life Speaks, a ministry that connects women through faith, fellowship, and community. The retreat will be held Saturday, March 16 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the Saddle Brook Marriott.
Sylane Mack, a counselor, author, and president of Transformed by Grace, will give her testimony and speak about freedom in forgiveness. Mack has found healing from emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and wants others to realize, just as she did, that God is greater than any pain, shame, or fear. Transformed by Grace works to share the biblical truth of the transforming grace of Jesus Christ as a way of freeing people from emotional and spiritual bondage. The ministry works to help people live more fully in the knowledge of God’s love, grace, and truth.
At the retreat, April Silwak, founder and director of Her Life Speaks, will speak about Mary Magdalene and the freedom to love.
Tickets purchased before Feb. 28 are $65; $75 after. Visit www.herlifespeaks.org or email: info@herlifespeaks.org.
Her Life Speaks will also host the following events: The Table (small groups for ages 21-31); Women’s Ministry Leadership Training, January 12; The Beauty Project (for teen girls), February 9; Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Dinner, March 5. For information, visit www.herlifespeaks.org.
