Joysongs to Host Conference, Worship Events

    Rita Springer
    Date: Aug 7, 2018

Renowned worship artist Rita Springer is this year’s guest at the Joysongs MORE conference on October 5-7 in Whippany, NJ.

This year’s theme, “MORE,” was inspired by King David’s declaration in 2 Samuel 6:22 that he will be “even more undignified than this.” His attitude toward worship encapsulates Joysongs’ vision for the 2018 conference, which features a weekend of training for worship and media teams, singers, musicians, and worshippers of all types. The three-day event consists of a free worship night with Springer on Friday, all-day workshops on Saturday, and service at the Joysongs home church on Sunday morning.

The Saturday workshops are the core of the conference. Vocal training, sound engineering, music production, musicianship, and video production are just a few of the sessions taught by local worship leaders, producers, and artists. And this year’s keynote will be taught by Springer.

Springer not only authored famous worship songs like “Defender,” but she also founded DIVE (Deep Innovative Vertical Expression) worship school in 2008, published her first book, Finding Eve, in 2013, and continues to travel, write music, and teach at conferences like Joysongs all over the country.

Joysongs was founded in 2002 out of the worship ministry at Abundant Life Whippany, an interdenominational church in Whippany, NJ. Founder and director Donnie Rosa started the annual Joysongs conference with the mission of educating, equipping, and empowering the local church by revolutionizing the way they do worship.

Sixteen years in, Joysongs now serves hundreds of churches every year, through conferences and events, a monthly Worship Leader Development small group, and weekly video tips sent out to its growing network.

In line with the MORE theme, Joysongs’ event list for 2018 is the longest it has ever been. In addition to the MORE conference, Joysongs will also host a Collide Worship Night with guest artist Darrell Evans (Nov. 2).
