To be marked is to be distinguished, set apart, and favored. As New City Kids (NCK) celebrates seven years of ministry, New City Kids’ Paterson chapter would like to highlight the ways in which God has uniquely marked New Jersey’s third largest city and its children for such a time as this.

NCK is celebrating 25 years of ministry. The nonprofit offers after school programming for local low-income youth. Besides Paterson there is another chapter in Jersey City, along with two chapters in Michigan. The Paterson chapter’s two locations serve 124 children daily. Children participate in daily music instruction classes, drama classes, or other creative arts opportunities. The chapter also offers internships and a summer camp.
“We are strong believers that nothing is possible without a community that works together,” the Paterson chapter said in a statement. “New City Kids is so thankful to be a part of the fabric of this beloved community.”
NCK gives children and teenagers the chance to explore music and academics in a creative and fun environment. NCK aims to draw children into hope by developing their skills, talents, and desires for their future by surrounding them with a community of love.
